Arizona Revised Statute 15-534 requires that "A person who is certified...shall maintain a valid fingerprint clearance card during the valid period of the person's certificate..." Fingerprint Clearance Cards are only valid for six years. We cannot permit certified employees who allow their card to lapse into the classroom, which affects pay.
It can take 10 weeks or more to renew your card, so it is extremely important to take care of your renewal well in advance of the expiration date. Certified staff can renew their card by bringing a $67.00 money order made payable to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, your ID card, and your social security card to the KUSD Administration Building. To make an appointment, please contact Lena Tsosie by phone at (928) 697-2027.
KUSD will only roll fingerprints for current District employees.
