In the Navajo language, Kayenta (Toh-Den-Nas-Shai) means "little fingers of running water." The rains create many drops of water, which join together to form little streams. These little streams move with determined purpose to join larger streams ultimately combining to forge a powerful life force in our community. So it is with education—here we nurture knowledge within our children who develop into a network of individuals linked by common values and history. With perseverance, support, and guidance, this generation will join together in purpose and wisdom to lead and carry on the traditions of the Navajo people.
