Job Qualifications

Art Teacher (Baker Middle School)
Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate for the elementary, middle, or secondary level.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
Bachelor's Degree in elementary, middle, or secondary education.
Fifteen (15) hours of State approved Structured English Immersion (SEI) coursework.
Successful middle school student teaching experience preferred.
Must meet Arizona Department of Education appropriately certified requirements.
Structured English Immersion (SEI) or English as a Second Language endorsement.
Art Teacher (Monument Valley High School)
Valid Arizona State Secondary Teaching Certificate for the secondary level.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Degree(s) required and area of major study and/or 24 content hours.
Must have Art as an approved area.
Structured English Immersion (SEI) or English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement preferred.
Assistant Coach (Monument Valley High School)
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate preferred.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
Valid Arizona State Driver License required.
Yearly Mini-Bus Driver Training required 30 days after hiring.
NFHS Coach Level 1 Certification (NFHS Learning Center).
NFHS Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate Behaviors Course required.
One year of successful coaching experience required.
First-Aid and CPR certification required.
Demonstrate interest in and an aptitude for performing the responsibilities of the sport.
Bus Driver
High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must meet all Arizona School Bus Driver Certification requirements: Possess an Arizona Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with Passengers (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
Pass A.D.O.T. physical examination.
Possess First Aid and CPR certification for adults, children and infants.
Pass all drug testing requirements.
Pass three-day New Bus driver Training courses and Exam test.
Complete and pass a 20-hour Behind the Wheel training.
Pass the Physical Performance Test.
Must have five years of clean driving record.
Must comply with the Arizona Minimum Standards for Student Transportation and Federal Regulations.
Must be able to handle emergencies in bus operation.
Must be dedicated and understanding of children and their safety.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of operational and preventive maintenance techniques.
Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Elementary Youth Coach
Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate preferred.
High School diploma required.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
Experience and/or knowledge in the sport.
Great with elementary students.
Health Technician
High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum with medical training and experience.
Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant required.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Clerical abilities and computer experience required.
Valid Arizona State Driver’s License.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills required.
Bilingual in Navajo and English required.
Capable of performing all responsibilities pertaining to the job description independently with high degree of competence and professionalism.
Lifeguard
High Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must be at least 18 years old or older.
Must have current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Lifeguard experience preferred. (Will train if no lifeguard experience and required to complete a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course and obtain certification to teach swimming lessons.)
Special Education Teacher
Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
Must hold Arizona Special Education credentials.
Fifteen (15) clock hours of Arizona State approved Structured English Immersion (SEI) coursework.
Evidence of successful teaching experience.
Substitute Bus Driver
High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

An associate degree: or 60 semester hours of coursework documented on an official transcript from an accredited institution of higher education; or meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through the passage of a formal State or local academic assessment accepted by the Arizona Department of Education preferred.
Possesses current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Ability to follow the school's health, safety, and emergency procedures.
Experience working with students with disabilities and preferably have experience with implementing an Individual Education Plan.

Ability to gather and maintain data regarding the performance and behavior of individual students and confer with team about schedules, goals, progress, and performance.
Must be physically fit to lift, transfer, and physically assist students pre-school through age 22.
Substitute Teacher
Regular Substitute Teachers: Bachelor’s degree required.
First time Substitute Teachers: High School Diploma or 30 semester hours of college education in Education.
Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate, Regular or Emergency Substitute Teaching Certificate.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
Must have a working telephone.
Swimming Instructor
Must have a current First Aid and CPR for the professional rescuer certifications.
Must possess Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
Must have a Water Safety Instructor certification.
Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Volunteer Assistant Coach (Middle School & High School)
High School diploma or G.E.D. minimum required.
