Assistant Principal

  • Valid Arizona State Administrative Certificate.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Master’s degree in education or related field.

  • At least five years of successful teaching experience required.

  • Fifteen (15) hours of State approved Structured English Immersion (SEI) coursework.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Must possess a valid Arizona State Driver’s License.

  • Must have ability to maintain and report data.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Must possess strong communications skills.

Elementary Youth Coach

  • Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate preferred.

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate.

  • Experience and/or knowledge in the sport.

  • Great with elementary students.

English Teacher

  • Valid Arizona State Secondary Teaching Certificate.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

  • Degree in major area of study and/or 24 content hours.

  • Must have English as an approved area.

  • Structured English Immersion (SEI) or English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement preferred.

Fleet Technician

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

  • Must have experienced working on school buses and fleet vehicles with both gasoline and diesel engines.

  • Five years of successful shop experience preferred.

  • Must have own tools.

  • Ability to perform engine replacement, tune-ups, brake jobs, and all general repairs for both gas and diesel engines.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and perform on-the-spot repairs on all District vehicles.

  • Must meet all Arizona School Bus Driver Certification requirements:

  • Arizona Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with passengers and school bus endorsements.

  • Pass A.D.O.T. driver physical examination.

  • Possesses current First Aid and CPR certification for adults, children, and infants.

  • Pass all drug testing requirements.

  • Pass three-day New Bus Driver Training Course and Exam Test.

  • Pass Bus Driving Road Test.

  • Pass physical performance test.

  • Must pass mechanical test.

  • Ability to perform all work with little or no supervision.

  • Must be in good physical health and able to lift more than 50 lbs.

Head Varsity Cheerleading Coach

  • Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate preferred.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • First-Aid and CPR certification required.

  • Complete AIA Information Course (annual coaches’ workshop)

  • Complete NFHS Rules Interpretation Course (annual coaches’ workshop)

  • Three years of successful high school cheerleading coaching experience preferred.

  • Pass NFHS Cheer Safety Exam with a minimum of 75%.

  • NFHS Concussion in Sports required.

  • Demonstrate interest in and an aptitude for performing the responsibilities of this position.

Head Varsity Coach (High School)

  • Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate preferred.

  • Three years of successful high school varsity coaching experience preferred.

  • NFHS Coach Level 1 Certification (NFHS Learning Center).

  • NFHS Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate Behaviors Course required.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

  • Valid Arizona State Driver License required.

  • Yearly Mini-Bus Driver Training required 30 days after hiring.

  • First-Aid and CPR certification required.

  • Demonstrate interest in and an aptitude for performing the responsibilities of this position.

Lifeguard (Swimming Pool)

  • High Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Must be at least 18 years old or older.

  • Must have current CPR and First Aid certifications.

  • Lifeguard experience preferred. (Will train if no lifeguard experience and required to complete a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course and obtain certification to teach swimming lessons.)

Occupational Therapist

  • Bachelor's of Science in a major field of occupational therapy from an accredited college or university with a degree in occupational therapy.  Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Pass the national examination and obtain State licensure pursuant to the Arizona Board regulations.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Experience as a practicing occupational therapist.

  • Bilingual English/Navajo preferred.

Physical Therapist

  • Bachelor's of science in a major field of Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university with a degree in Physical Therapy.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Pass the national examination and obtain state licensure pursuant to the Arizona Board regulations.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Experience as a practicing physical therapist.

  • Bilingual English/Navajo preferred.

Social Studies Teacher

  • Valid Arizona State Secondary Teaching Certificate.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

  • Degree in major area of study and/or 24 content hours.

  • Must have History as an approved area.

  • Structured English Immersion (SEI) or English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement preferred.

Special Olympics Head Coach

  • Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with students with low incidence disabilities, District-wide staff, and parents.

  • Registered volunteer of Special Olympics of Arizona required.

  • Knowledge of Special Olympics guidelines required.

  • Must exhibit good physical health.

  • Must be a reliable individual who can organize, maintain training schedule, and delegate tasks to volunteers.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of implementation of I.E.P. goals for individual students.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, initiate cooperation, and motivation of group members to accomplish tasks.

  • Positive communication and interpersonal skills.

Speech Language Pathologist

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist Certificate issued by Arizona Department of Education.

  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Experience as a practicing Speech Language Pathologist.

  • Bilingual English/Navajo preferred.

Strength & Conditioning Coach

  • Must possess a current relevant professional certification credentialed by an independent accreditation agency. (For example, the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification.)

  • First-aid and CPR certification required.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • A strong working knowledge and teaching skills in analysis and techniques of strength training.

  • Experience and/or expertise in strength and conditioning programming for high school population.

  • Strong motivational abilities.

  • Evidence of ability to interact positively with student athletes, colleagues, and the public.

  • Evidence of strong organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills.

Student Service Nurse (LPN/RN)

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Possesses a current license to practice as a professional registered nurse or license practical nurse in the State of Arizona.

  • Recent experience in the field of public health nursing and/or school nursing preferable.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Valid Arizona State Driver’s License.

  • Capable of performing independently with a high degree of competence and professionalism responsibilities pertaining to the job description.

  • Bilingual English/Navajo preferred.

Substitute Teacher

  • Regular Substitute Teachers:  Bachelor's degree required.

  • First time Substitute Teachers: High School Diploma or 30 semester hours of college education in Education.  

  • Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate, Regular or Emergency Substitute Teaching Certificate.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Must have a working telephone.

Substitute Teacher Assistant

  • An associate degree: or 60 semester hours of coursework documented on an official transcript from an accredited institution of higher education; or meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through the passage of a formal State or local academic assessment accepted by the Arizona Department of Education.

  • Possesses current CPR and First Aid certifications.

  • Possesses a valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Dependable and reliable attendance.

  • Ability to be flexible with an assigned task.

  • Ability to take initiative as appropriate.

  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner.

  • Ability to follow the school's health, safety, and emergency procedures.

  • Experience working with students with disabilities and preferably have experience with implementing an Individual Education Plan.

  • Experience working with the preschool age 3 to 5 preferred.

  • Ability to communicate with colleagues, follow instructions and use critical thinking skills that will enable the team to work effectively.

  • Ability to gather and maintain data regarding the performance and behavior of individual students and confer with team about schedules, goals, progress, and performance.

  • Physically fit to lift, transfer, and physically assist students ages 3-5.

Summer School Bus Monitor

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Must be dependable and reliable.

  • Must have First Aid and CPR certifications for adults, children, and infants.

  • Must be dedicated and understanding of children and their safety.

  • Ability to follow the school’s health, safety, and emergency procedures.

  • Must have experience working with children with significant challenges.

  • Must be willing to learn the Arizona Minimum Standards for Student Transportation.

  • Must pass the three-day Bus Monitor Training Course.

  • Must be physically fit to lift, transfer, and physically assist students pre-school through age 22.

Swimming Pool Instructor

  • High Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.

  • Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Must have current CPR and First Aid certifications.

  • Swimming instructor experience preferred.

  • Must be in good physical and mental condition to provide lifesaving services.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and respond calmly to high-pressure emergency situations.

  • Ability to lift and move, set up and store equipment and children weighing up to 50 pounds.
