Senior End of the Year & Graduation Important Information

Dear Senior Parents/Guardians,

Thank you for being the educational and emotional support for your senior during their years at Monument Valley High School.  The staff and administration at Monument Valley High School are very proud of all the seniors in graduating class of 2022.

Please continue to talk with your senior student about finishing the school year on a strong note.

Announcements:

  1. Please contact the senior counselor, Mrs. Marita Draper, if you have questions about credits or graduation status @ 928-697-2110
  2. Please contact the senior class sponsor, Elaine Sombrero, about graduation and the items listed below elaine.sombrero@kayenta.k12.az.us:
    1. The senior class trip is scheduled for April 14-16, 2022.
    2. Monty (representative from the company National Graduation Products) indicated that the graduation announcements will be sent around the end of April.
    3. Senior assignments/projects/tests will be May 12-16, 2022
    4. Final senior grades will be submitted by teachers on May 16 and May 17, 2022.
    5. Graduation Practice will be held on May 18 and 19, 2022. All seniors are required to be present during all practices.
    6. Financial assistance for caps and gowns may be available through JOM. Applications are available at the KUSD Cultural Center.
    7. Caps and Gowns will be distributed on May 18, 2022, at the graduation practice.
    8. Educational Career Action Plans (ECAPS) and the Civics test are graduation requirements.
    9. There will be a Senior/parent meeting on April 12th at 6:30 p.m. on zoom.
