Dear MVHS Parents and Students,

Beginning February 22, 2022, Monument Valley High School will no longer have teachers Zooming to virtual students (at home). This means that teachers will no longer be teaching to in-person students (students physically in the MVHS classrooms), and at the same time the virtual students (Zooming from home).

All in-person students will be required to come to the MVHS campus for in-person instruction.

Now that the Kayenta Unified School District Schools are open to 100% capacity for in-person students, every day of the week, Monument Valley High School will provide only the following two options for parents/students (below):

Parents will still have the following options:

  1. Sending their child to MVHS physically for in-person learning each day within the school classrooms (Zoom from home is no longer an option as of February 22, 2022).
  2. Enrolling their child for the MVHS Distance Learning Program, using PLATO as the computerized curriculum. This can be done by signing the MVHS Distance Learning Enrollment Form at the MVHS office

  • (Note: Students who are already enrolled in distance learning and taking PLATO classes are not impacted by this memo. They will continue taking the classes they are enrolled in on PLATO).
