"Prepare Arizona students for workforce, hands-on experience for success and continuous education" ADE
Greetings,
Welcome to CTE! Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the academic and technical skills, the knowledge, and the hands-on training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners.
At Monument Valley High School, we offer programs in Agriscience, Construction, Early Childhood Education, Marketing, Welding and Air Force JROTC. Partnered with the NATIVE Campus students have the opportunity to take Culinary and Graphics classes. All Programs offer industry standard certifications. Although we are preparing students for a career, many CTE students have received financial assistance to continue their education. We have had Gates Millenium Scholars, Chief Manuelito Scholars as well as many scholarships to colleges, universities and trade schools.
CTE students are involved in club organizations (Career Technical Student Organization CTSO) such as FFA, SkillsUSA, FCCLA and DECA they participate in competitions, leadership camps, training, and many other activities and events either local, regional, state and/or national levels. This gives students an opportunity to travel, network, meet fellow members and improve their leadership skills.
On behalf of all the CTE teachers and Staff, we look forward to working with your child.
Please contact our office or your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns regarding our programs and/or CTE Department.
Sincerely,
Clyde McBride
CTE Director/Agriscience Teacher
