If your child is absent, a doctor’s note or a written statement explaining the reason for the absence must be submitted within 3 days for the absence to be marked as excused. If documentation is not received within the 3-day timeframe, the absence will be recorded as “other” and cannot be changed after that point. Please note that phone calls alone do not excuse an absence—written documentation is required and must be kept on file for our records. If your child will be absent, we also encourage you to notify the school as soon as possible. Regular attendance is very important for your child’s learning and development.
