Cultural Center

The Cultural Center is home to the Native Language and Cultural Program implemented through the coordination of Kayenta Unified School District (KUSD) and the Johnson O'Malley (JOM) Program. We mentor, guide and support students, parents, staff, and stakeholders. The main purpose of this program is to encourage cultural enrichment, parental cost assistance, student recognition, and student travels. We offer cultural and academic presentations, and information beneficial to the school as well as the community.

The Johnson O'Malley Program Educational Plan is monitored by the Indian Education Committee (IEC) who solely works with the JOM Coordinator. The IEC are made up of parents of current students here at KUSD, one from each chapter of our school district: Forest Lake, Shonto, Chilchinbeto and Kayenta.
