Bus Driver
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.
- Must meet all Arizona School Bus Driver Certification requirements:
- Possess an Arizona Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with Passengers (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Pass A.D.O.T. physical examination.
- Possess First Aid and CPR certification for adult, children, and infant.
- Pass all drug-testing requirements.
- Pass three-day new bus driver training courses and exam test.
- Complete and pass a 20-hour Behind the Wheel training.
- Pass the Physical Performance Test.
- Must have five years of clean driving record.
- Must comply with the Arizona Minimum Standards for Student Transportation and Federal Regulations.
- Must be able to handle emergencies in bus operation.
- Must be dedicated and have an understanding of children and their safety.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of operational and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
Bus Monitor
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Must have First Aid and CPR certifications for adult, children, and infant.
- Must be dedicated and understanding of children and their safety.
- Ability to follow the school’s health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Must have experience working with children with significant challenges.
- Must be willing to learn the Arizona Minimum Standards for Student Transportation.
- Must pass the three-day Bus Monitor Training Course.
- Must be physically fit to lift, transfer, and physically assist students pre-school through age 22.
Certified Teaching Positions
- Valid State of Arizona Teaching Certificate for the middle or secondary level and Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Degree(s) required and area of major study and/or 24 content hours.
- Must be endorsed for English as a Second Language (ESL), bilingual, Structured English Immersion (SEI), reading specialist, early childhood, math or general science.
Director of Exceptional Student Services
- Valid State of Arizona Supervisor and Administrative Certificate.
- Master’s Degree in special education desired, as well as graduate work in educational management and curriculum development in special education.
- Minimum of five years successful teaching experience in special education.
- Knowledge of all areas of special education programs for exceptional children, school management techniques, child development, counseling and psychological theory, modern curriculum concepts, and learning theory.
- Excellent human relation skills and experience as follows:
a. exercise initiative and mature judgment
b. work comfortably and competently with administrators, teachers, classified personnel, parents, and students of all ages
c. develop empathy with parents and pupils
d. plan, organize, and direct the work of others
e. prepare written statements of policy, procedure, grants, and evaluate instructional programs, personnel, and reports
- Knowledgeable of special education laws, procedures, compliance, due process, and staff development.
- Early childhood education experience desired.
- Valid Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsement.
Exceptional Student Services Teacher
- Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate.
- Must hold Arizona Special Education credentials.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience.
- Must have Special Education Cross Categorical certification.
Head Boys Basketball Coach
- Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate, Arizona Coaching Certificate, or have completed each of the following criteria from the National Federation of State High School Associations online at www.nfhslearn.org (level 1 certification) and this certification shall be on file or recorded in the office of the director of athletics or his/her designee:
a. Fundamentals of Coaching.
b. First Aid/CPR.
c. Sport specific course or teaching sport skills if sport is not offered.
- Three years of successful varsity coaching experience preferred.
- First-Aid and CPR certification required.
- Demonstrate interest in and an aptitude for performing the responsibilities of this position.
Instructional Coach
- Valid Arizona State Elementary or Secondary Teaching Certificate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in education.
- At least three years of successful teaching experience required.
- English as a Secondary Language (ESL) experience and endorsement preferred.
- Staff Development experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of school improvement, Framework for Teaching (Classroom Applications, Mentoring and Coaching), GLAD, Classroom Management, and Instructional Design and Assessment.
- Fifteen (15) hours of State approved Structured English Immersion (SEI) coursework.
Part-Time Food Service Worker
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.
- Valid Food Handler's Permit.
- Ability to read and follow directions of the work site leader.
- Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Must be safety conscientious.
- Able to lift 40 pounds.
School Psychologist
- Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology.
- Valid Arizona State Certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience as a practicing School Psychologist.
- Bilingual English/Navajo preferred.
Substitute Teacher
- Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate or Emergency Substitute Teaching Certificate.
- Must clear fingerprints with the Department of Public Safety.
- Must have a working telephone in the home.
