Arizona State Certification

Out-of-state applicants and others without proof of certification are responsible for contacting the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) to determine eligibility for Arizona certification. You may visit the ADE website, or contact them using the information below.

Necessary Documents Needed with Application

It is necessary for you to have the following documents on file with the Human Resources Department to be considered for a position:

1. A completed District Application.
2. A copy of your valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate and Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if you possess one.
3. A copy of your appropriate ‘Highly Qualified’ documentation i.e. Arizona Highly Qualified Attestation Form; AEPA Test Results; Arizona HOUSSE; Arizona HOUSSE for Veteran’s Returning to Profession; Highly Qualified Reciprocity; 24 hours in CORE subject (for High School).
4. A copy of your current transcripts of university credits.
5. College and/or University placement file.  (If a placement file is not available, three letters of recommendation will be accepted.)
6. Letters of verification of most current previous employment which includes beginning and ending dates of employment.
7. Resume

When we have all of the above documents, we will place your file in our active file for a period of one year, and you will receive consideration for openings in which you have indicated an interest and are certified to teach. You, the applicant, are responsible for renewing the application after one year. You may update your file with necessary documents any time.
